Our Team

Peter Ferris
Chief Connector
Peter spent several years developing programs for his company where employees would spend 3 days out in the woods connecting deeply with nature and with each other. There were many profound impacts the program had on the participants. Building deeper connections with family and heritage and trees are the inspiration for FTW. If we can make even a small positive difference in a life it is worth it!

John Carter
Part-Time Connector
Born in Norwich, UK, John has dedicated his life to the protection and appreciation of nature. As a member of the Great Britain Men's Rowing Team, he spent countless hours training and racing on bodies of water throughout the world, collaborating with local nonprofits to champion clean water initiatives. After moving to the Bay Area, he partnered with organizations including Patagonia, The Marine Science Institute, The Wild Oyster Project, and Surfrider Foundation, using his marketing skills to inspire fundraising initiatives, volunteer recruitment, and community activism. John is excited to continue inspiring local communities to build personal relationships with nature through the FamilyTrees.World initiative. Every tree planted is a win for the world!

Jennifer Davis

Growing up next to 30 acres of fields and forests in Northern Virginia, Jen spent every moment she could climbing trees, riding her pony and roaming the woods near her house. Her love of nature and gardens followed her into adulthood, and she worked as a gardener and garden designer, among other pursuits. Currently a Charlottesville Area Tree Steward and Organic gardener, she spends her time digging in the dirt, combating invasive plants and advocating for the environment.
